Northmor finished off the regular season with with a 34-7 win over Loudonville, and they relied on a rushing attack fueled by sophomore running back Carson Campbell, who is this week’s Mount Vernon Athlete of the Week.

Carson Campbell finished the season with one of his best performances, going off for four touchdowns and 222 yards to lead Northmor (7-2, 5-1) to a 34-7 win over Loudonville (3-7, 2-5) on Friday night. The Golden Knights finished the season with a five game winning streak.

Cardington-Lincoln (12-10, 8-4) went 2-0 last week in volleyball action, led by Autumn Holt with 24 kills and Abby Ufferman with 76 assists over the two matches.

Northmor (7-2, 5-1) has been on a tear lately and on Friday night they won their fourth straight game 48-7 over Centerburg (4-5, 3-3), with quarterback AJ Bower throwing for five touchdown passes.

Fredericktown (16-3, 11-0) is leading the KMAC as the season winds down, and last week the Freddies remained hot with a pair of sweeps over conference foes Mount Gilead (0-19, 0-11) and Northmor (11-8, 6-5), with setter Julia Partington stuffing the stat sheet.

Centerburg hosts KMAC rival Northmor on Friday night with only two games left in the regular season.

Danville (5-14, 2-9) hosted Northmor (11-8, 6-5) on Oct. 3 and the Golden Knights came to play in a dominant three set sweep over the Blue Devils.

Northmor (6-2, 4-1) is getting hot at just the right time with the regular season winding down, with the Golden Knights winning their third straight game 31-3 over KMAC rival Mount Gilead (2-6, 0-5), who have lost five straight.

The members of the Central District Baseball Coaches Association (CDBCA) selected the top high school baseball players from the area and invited them to play in all-star games Tuesday, June 6, starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Northmor Golden Knights are coming off an 18-9 season where they went 6-6 in KMAC play, and while the team has a duo of top-tier pitchers, the team will have the daunting task of replacing a standout shortstop and a group of key seniors this season.

One local wrestler won gold in the OHSAA district competition and our Athlete of the Week is Cowin Becker, Northmor wrestling.

Two local teams entered berths in the OHSAA boys basketball district semifinals and one team emerged with a shot at the Divison IV, Region 16 championship – the Northmor Golden Knights. The other qualifier, Fredericktown, saw their playoff run stopped in the semis.
