The Robert & Ester Black Family Foundation Fund at The Richland County Community Foundation, Mansfield, Ohio has approved a grant in the amount of $7,600.00 to fund the training of front-line caregivers in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care at Hospice of North Central Ohio.
New London Rotary’s United Fund approves hospice grant

The New London Rotary’s Area United Fund has selected Hospice of North Central Ohio as one of 19 area agencies to receive funding grants. The grant in the amount of $1,000.00 is designated for HNCO’s annual “Camp Hope” children’s bereavement camp scheduled for June 17, 18, 24, 25 at Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp.

The Firelands Electric Cooperative People’s Fund has approved a grant in the amount of $1,199.00 to Hospice of North Central Ohio to fund the purchase of two CoaguChek Systems. These test kits will be used by HNCO nurses to monitor patients who are risk of bleeding.
Legacy estate gift received by Hospice of North Central Ohio

A Legacy Estate Gift from the Herbert L. Heyl Trust in the amount of $131,782.00 will provide immediate support for comfort care and bereavement services at Hospice of North Central Ohio and fund a new $10,000.00 HNCO Memorial Endowed fund in Mr. Heyl’s name at The Ashland County Community Foundation.

2021 Tree of Lights honors loved ones

Hospice of North Central Ohio hosted its traditional Tree of Lights at our Ashland headquarters at 1021 Dauch Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 5:30 p.m. A brief, meaningful ceremony took place to honor and remember loved ones who have died. The celebration included music, readings, and luminaries in remembrance of loved ones. This tree will remain lit throughout the holiday season, in quiet remembrance of those who are no longer here.

Eighty-four golfers participated in the 22nd annual HNCO Ruth Lindsey Charity Golf Outing at Westbrook Country Club on September 27th. This annual event was sponsored by Park National Bank. The day had great weather and fantastic turnout. Special thanks to all who made this event a great success, it would not be possible without you! Congratulations to the teams from Park National Bank and Lighthouse Management who both shot a tournament best ’57. Congratulations to Dave Thomas, winner of the Westbrook raffle package and Mike Law, winner of the 50/50 raffle.
