ASHLAND – Hospice of North Central Ohio (HNCO) welcomed Sabrina Pugh to the board of directors.

“I am looking forward to serving on the HNCO board and giving back to an organization that has helped our family through some difficult times," Pugh said.

Pugh has been teaching at Mount Vernon Middle School since 1990. She received both her undergrad and graduate degrees from Ohio State University. Pugh is certified as a family and consumer sciences teacher. She teaches life skills, nutrition, communication, food preparation, career search and soft skills. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is the student organization that accompanies the FCS curriculum – it is a part of the regular classroom.

In Pugh’s spare time, she enjoys reading, sewing and exercise. She is on the 4-H Planning Committee, a member of Soroptimist International and a Knox County OSU Alumni Club board member. Pugh’s daughter is a public health educator for Wyandot County Public Health. She has a cat named Pumpkin.

Chris Laux, president of the HNCO board of directors, said, “Sabrina is an excellent addition to the HNCO board. She not only brings career and life skills that will benefit our organization, but more importantly a passion to serve the HNCO mission.”
