New London – The New London Rotary’s Area United Fund has selected Hospice of North Central Ohio as one of 19 area agencies to receive funding grants.
The grant in the amount of $1,000 is designated for HNCO’s annual “Camp Hope” children’s bereavement camp June 17, 18, 24 and 25 at Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp. The camp was established in 1996 to provide a safe and caring environment for grieving children ages 6-17 who have experienced the loss of a loved one through death.
Becky Pfister, HNCO support services manager, said: “Without the support of charitable gifts and grants, this much-needed camp experience would not be possible. We are indeed grateful to our dedicated staff, loyal trained volunteers and generous benefactors for helping us perpetuate Camp Hope.”
