Knox County Sheriff's detectives are conducting an investigation into the death of an unidentified individual discovered at a residence on Bell Church Road on July 12.
According to a news release, deputies from the Knox County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to 22540 Bell Church Road following reports of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, they found a deceased person in the basement. The residence was secured, and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation was called in to process the scene. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are handling the investigation.
The release said that the body has been sent for an autopsy. No further details have been disclosed as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
