Fitch’s record-breaking swims lead to NCAC award. The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced Monday that David Fitch, a Kenyon College senior, was voted the Athlete of the Week for men’s swimming and diving. It’s the first time this season and the third time in his career that Fitch won the award.

The nationally ranked No. 23 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s basketball team (5-2, 0-0) made the short trip to Gambier, Ohio for a contest with their Knox County rival, Kenyon College (0-4, 0-0) on Wednesday, November 17. Despite scoring the opening points of the game, the Kenyon College women’s basketball team fell to MVNU, 89-54.

Undefeated Cougars roll on the road with 99-72 win over OCU. The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s basketball team (6-0, 0-0) remained undefeated after a 99-72 road win at Ohio Christian University (0-3) on Tuesday, November 9. Ladies drop season opener at Heidelberg. The Kenyon College women’s basketball team opened the 2021-22 season Tuesday, but the non-conference contest at Heidelberg University closed with the Ladies suffering a 68-53 defeat at the hands of the Student Princes.
Swimming history: 8 Kenyon water stars named to CSCAA’s 100 greatest list

In conjunction with the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) 100th Anniversary, the organization released its lists of the 100 Greatest Swimmers and Divers of the past century. Eight Kenyon graduates were among the honorees – four women and four men. Among the women’s honorees were Kenyon College greats Patty Abt, Carla Ainsworth, Amy Heasley and Katie Petrock. On the men’s side were Kenyon College swimmers James Born, Marc Courtney-Brooks, Andrejs Duda and Dennis Mulvihill.

Ladies field hockey gets NCAC title with wins over Wooster, Oberlin

The Kenyon College field hockey team secured a spot in the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament and moved into first place in the standings with a 4-0 victory over Oberlin College on Wednesday afternoon, then closed the regular season, Saturday, with a 2-0 win over Wooster to earn an NCAC league title tie.

Kenyon football team builds momentum in 27-13 win at Allegheny

The Kenyon College football team won its second straight game on Saturday, defeating the Allegheny College Gators, 27-13, in a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) battle at Frank Fuhrer Field. After an 0-3 start to the year, the Lords have gained momentum and look like a more complete football team than they were in week one. Saturday’s win improved the team’s record to 2-3 overall and 2-2 in NCAC competition. Allegheny has now lost four straight, dropping its records to 1-4 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
