Lords golf team wins first NCAC championship

Senior Nick Lust shot a record-setting round and for the first time in program history, the Kenyon College golf team won the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship. The Lords did so by posting a three-round total of 897 during the weekend at Westbrook Country Club.
Kenyon Ladies earn share of conference crown with win over Scots

The Kenyon College Ladies lacrosse team clinched a share of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) regular-season title after Wednesday night’s 15-6 victory over The College of Wooster Fighting Scots. Kenyon, now 12-1 on the season and 6-0 in the conference, last won the NCAC regular-season title in 2013.

GRANVILLE, Ohio–The Kenyon College men’s tennis team moved on to the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship with a 5-2 win over DePauw University to increase their season record to 13-7. The joy lasted one day as the Lords faced off against Denison, Sunday. In a competitive North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Championship, the Kenyon College men's tennis team fell to Denison University, 5-3. All but one singles match needed three sets to determine the conference champion in Granville.
Hart named Honda Award finalist for third time

For the third time in her Kenyon College career, senior Crile Hart was named the DIII Honda Athlete of the Year finalist for Swimming and Diving as announced by Executive Director Chris Voelz of THE Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) presented by Honda.
Bolea launches 60-yard goal, then scores with seconds left to lift Lords

Joe Bolea’s second goal of the game with 44 seconds left in regulation proved to be the difference-maker in the Kenyon College men’s lacrosse team’s 8-7 win over The College of Wooster. With the win, the Lords improved to 10-3 overall and 5-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Ladies move to 20-8 with softball sweep of Pioneers. In a Sunday non-conference doubleheader at Marietta College, the Kenyon College softball team ran its season record to 20-8 after sweeping the host Pioneers. In game one, the Ladies chalked up a 9-7 win and then followed that up with a 5-0 victory. Kenyon men split senior day tennis matches. Sunday afternoon, the Kenyon College men’s tennis team celebrated Senior Day with an 8-1 split-squad win over Wabash College inside the Jasper Tennis Center. A few hours later, the rest of the team went outdoors to play, but dropped a tight 6-3 match to University of Northwestern Ohio at VandenBerg Courts..

The rainy weather Wednesday, forced the Kenyon College men’s tennis team to move indoors, but it didn’t stop the Lords from ringing up an 8-1 victory over The College of Wooster Fighting Scots. The match, played at Aspen Racquet Club, was the first North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) contest for both teams.

For any young basketball players looking to take their game to the next level this summer, the Kenyon Basketball Camp is a great opportunity for instruction, fundamentals, coaching and exposure. Back for the first time since 2019 due to COVID-19 pandemic implications, the camp is open to second- through eighth-grade players of all genders who are rising in play levels and offers both top-notch coaching and a collaborative environment for improvement.

Kenyon Ladies fall to Cardinals twice in rainy doubleheader

The rain fell, the runs fell and the Ladies fell twice. In less than ideal conditions, the Otterbein University Cardinals took both games of the doubleheader against the Kenyon College softball team, Friday, March 25. Although the Ladies jumped out to a lead in game one, the Cardinals were able to erase the deficit and take the first game, 12-11. Game two proved to be more of a defensive battle, but Otterbein completed the sweep with a 4-2 win.
Kenyon Ladies dominate in 18-8 lacrosse win over Mount Union

After starting their season with six road games, the Kenyon College women’s lacrosse team won their first home game of the season, as they dominated the University of Mount Union, 18-8. The Ladies move to 6-1 on the season while Mount Union slides to 2-2.
Kenyon Ladies win 24th Div. III swimming title, Lords finish fifth

The Kenyon women won their 24th national title in program history, first since 2009, after the Ladies accumulated 446 points over four days of action at the 2022 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 24 national titles tops all women's programs in any sport and any division of the NCAA. The Kenyon men have won an NCAA-record 34 men’s national titles, and rounded out the top five at this meet with 282.5 points.

Yellow Jackets baseball shuts out Licking Valley 7-0. The Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets baseball team got their 2022 season under way with a 7-0 exhibition win over Licking Valley, Tuesday, March 15. Five Jackets pitchers held Licking Valley to one hit, while Mount Vernon knocked out seven safeties.

The Kenyon College baseball team carried over momentum and hot bats from a 13-7 Saturday win over Penn State Behrend, into their Sunday doubleheader against Albright College and put 22 more runs on the board. The Lords took both games of the doubleheader – 9-2 and 13-4 -- to improve to 5-4 overall.
