The 2026 OHSAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Columbus proved to be a milestone weekend for East Knox athletes, who showcased grit, speed, and teamwork on the state’s biggest stage.
From June 4–7, the Bulldogs competed against Ohio’s finest, leaving with new school records, podium finishes, and All-Ohio honors that capped an unforgettable season.
Leading the charge was Isabelle “Izzy” Bostic, who placed eighth in the 400 meters with a time of 58.44 seconds, setting a new East Knox school record. Her performance highlighted the program’s growing strength in sprints and added valuable points to the team’s tally. Izzy’s impact didn’t stop there—she anchored the 4x200 relay team of Ava Faucett, Ellie Clark, Macie Fawcett, and herself to a fourth-place finish at state. Their time of 1:44.11 not only earned them a spot on the podium but also shattered the school record, cementing their place in East Knox history.
The Bulldogs weren’t finished. The 4x400 relay team of Cloe Tucker, Izzy Bostic, Ava Faucett, and Macie Fawcett also claimed fourth place, proving East Knox’s depth across multiple relay events. For Macie, the meet was a fitting finale to a decorated career. She graduates as an All-Ohio athlete in the indoor 800, 4x200, and 4x400, leaving behind a legacy of consistency and leadership.
On the boys’ side, Cason Faucett narrowly missed qualifying for the 400-meter finals, finishing just one place shy. Still, his sophomore season was marked by steady progress and resilience, setting the stage for future success. In the field, Weston Bostic, just a junior, cleared 13-0 in pole vault, continuing to build his reputation as one of the area’s top vaulters.
These achievements also coincided with the announcement of the KMAC Awards, where East Knox athletes earned recognition across events. Faucett captured first in the 400 meters, second in both the 100 and 200. Logan Clark earned honorable mentions in the 100 and long jump. Izzy Bostic was runner-up in the 400 and honorable mention in the 200. Macie Fawcett took second in the 800, while Ava Faucett claimed second in the 200. The girls’ relay teams swept first in the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400, underscoring their dominance.
Together, these achievements reflect a program on the rise. With records broken, medals earned, and athletes recognized, East Knox track and field closed 2026 with pride and momentum heading into the future.
