Following are the scores and results from local high school football games in the community from Friday, October 25.

Recently, the East Knox FFA Urban Soils Career Development Event team placed tenth in the state event held on October 12, 2024 in Union County at the Dave Gruenbaum Farm on Durban Road north of Plain City.

For a team who was just shut out a week ago in a game against Danville, the Centerburg Trojans played with what could only be described as a fire under their behinds, as they completely annihilated the East Knox Bulldogs this past Friday, 40-6.

The East Knox FFA recently competed in the State FFA Forestry Career Development Event held at Hocking College on Sept. 28, where they placed first out of a field of teams from across Ohio.

The East Knox Bulldogs (4-3) fell to the undefeated Northmor Knights 42-0 Friday, Oct. 4.

The East Knox Bulldogs got a big win this past Friday against Cardington Lincoln 49-20.

The East Knox FFA recently represented the state of Ohio and competed in the Eastern Regional National FFA Nursery/Landscape Career Development Event held at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts on Sept. 13-14.

East Knox players put up flashy numbers worth plenty of mention, but in such a team effort the mentions need to be spread out all over the field.

The second week of the young high school football kicks off with four local teams in action.

Recently, at the 96th annual Ohio FFA Convention held in the Celeste Center at the Ohio Exposition Center, East Knox FFA juniors Hayden Baker and Blake Elliott received their State FFA Degrees.

The East Knox baseball team went 19-5 and were 10-2 to take the KMAC title, which was their first league title since 2017 when they won the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference.

​Derrick Field, a catcher and pitcher for the East Knox baseball team, has announced that he will be continuing his playing career on the diamond in college.

No. 4 East Knox won the first two rounds of the playoffs to become Sectional champions in the Division III, Central 1 baseball tournament, but the Bulldog bats couldn’t get going on the District Semifinals in a 5-0 loss to Newark Catholic.

Four members of the East Knox FFA competed on May 9 in the State Environmental/Natural Resources Career Development Event hosted at the Conservation Area of the Ohio Farm Science Review grounds in Madison County, where they placed fourth out of a field of teams from across Ohio.

These former Mount Vernon News area high school standouts will be in action in the week starting Mon May 13.
