East Knox turned in a well‑rounded effort at the OHSAA Division IV District meet in Granville, using contributions from across the roster to secure a seventh‑place finish in the boys’ team standings with 59 points.

The headline moment in the field events came from junior Weston Bostic, who captured the district championship in the boys’ pole vault. Bostic cleared 14 feet to claim East Knox’s lone district title and secure his spot at the regional meet. He was joined among the Bulldogs’ top performers by Kaiden Clutter, who placed second in the 3,200 meters with a time of 10:35.38, earning eight valuable team points and establishing himself as one of the district’s premier distance runners. Logan Hercenburg added to the Bulldogs’ success, finishing runner‑up in the 300‑meter hurdles while also taking fourth in the high jump.

Together, the trio showcased East Knox’s versatility and ability to compete at a high level across multiple disciplines, giving the Bulldogs both scoring strength and momentum heading into Regionals.

East Knox also found success on the track in the sprint events thanks to sophomore standout Cason Faucett. After qualifying for the finals in both the 100‑ and 200‑meter dashes, Faucett capped off his meet with a fourth‑place finish in the 100 final in 11.33 seconds, collecting five team points. He also advanced through the 200 semifinals and reached the championship race, showcasing his versatility and speed against a talented field. In the 400, Faucett qualified for the finals with a time of 50.30 seconds, finishing second overall in the semifinals and positioning himself among the district’s elite quarter‑milers.

The Bulldogs also made noise in the hurdles. Hercenburg qualified for the finals in the 300 hurdles after running 42.21 seconds in the semifinals, the third‑fastest time of the day. Teammate Alex Wythe also competed, while Bruz Gibson‑Hagans reached the semifinals, giving East Knox multiple entries in one of the meet’s most demanding events.

In the distance races, Lucas Holland and Zeke Proudfoot represented East Knox in the 800, while the Bulldogs’ 4x800 relay of Holland, Clutter, Proudfoot, and Gibson‑Hagans placed fifth in 8:52.75 to add four more points.

The girls’ squad contributed across sprint and relay events. Ellie Clark ran the 100 meters, while Izzy Bostic competed in both the 200 and 400. Cloe Tucker added depth in the 400, and Macie Fawcett represented the Bulldogs in the 800. Ava Faucett joined the sprint corps in the 200. East Knox also fielded teams in the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 relays, gaining valuable postseason experience against powerhouse programs like Northmor and Fredericktown.
