Local students with disabilities or special needs will have the opportunity to build physical skills and confidence this summer at the "Heroes of the Hive Adaptive Football Camp," scheduled for July 23 at Fighting Jacket Stadium.
According to organizers, the free camp is open to all athletes in grades 3 through 12 and is designed specifically for students who require individualized modifications to participate in physical activity. They say the goal is to help each participant develop physical competence, motor skills, and overall fitness while considering their unique abilities and challenges.
The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. and will be staffed by trained volunteers and coaches who are prepared to offer support, encouragement, and fun in a safe and inclusive environment.
