Derrick Field, a catcher and pitcher for the East Knox baseball team, has announced that he will be continuing his playing career on the diamond in college.
On May 16, Field signed to play college ball at West Virginia University Tech. This is an NAIA institution located in Beckley, West Virginia, and Field plans to study Mechanical Engineering. At the signing, Field was joined by his fellow Bulldogs and coaches, as well as his parents Rick and Laura Field, and grandparents Gary and Linda Schworm.
