The Danville Blue Devils have postponed their anticipated Chicken Dinner Fundraiser and Meet the Team event until further notice, the athletic department announced this week.
Originally scheduled ahead of the fall football season, the event was intended to spotlight the team and offer a community meal in support of the program. Officials said that a new date will be announced soon.
Meanwhile, according to school officials, the team’s football scrimmage has been relocated and will now take place on the track and practice field at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 8.
"We’re looking forward to introducing our team to the community — just a little later than planned," said the school in a statement. "We appreciate everyone’s patience and continued support."
