The Danville Blue Devils softball program received a boost this summer from one of its own.
Cordi Richert, a Danville alumna and former Blue Devil standout, returned to assist with the summer league. She shared her time, experience, and passion for the game with the next generation of players.
According to players and coaches, Richert's presence on the field was praised as she offered guidance, encouragement, and firsthand insight into what it means to compete at a high level.
Richert, who wore No. 11 during her time with the Blue Devils, is remembered not just for her skills but also for her leadership. Her involvement serves as a reminder of the strong ties within the Danville softball community.
