Senior Jurnie Gleason had five kills and three aces and senior Tori Burdette had two aces, five digs and 17 assists to lead the Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets over the winless Mansfield Senior Tygers in straight sets.
Mount Vernon won three sets consecutively-- 25-8, 25-9, and 25-7.
For the Yellow Jackets, junior Kaitlyn Thompson had five kills and two aces, freshman Mae Wiley had four kills, senior Emma Dean had four kills and five aces, senior Madi Dudgeon had four kills, sophomore Audrey Stuller two aces and 12 digs and senior Avery Lasater eight digs.
Head Coach Lauren Townley has guided the Yellow Jackets to a 13-3 overall record, and 8-2 in the Ohio Cardinal Conference.
The Tygers fell to 0-16.
Mount Vernon has six remaining regular season games before the state tournament.
