Babe Ruth roundup: Armstrong, Rotary win in walk-off

Key Realty rallied for five runs in the seventh inning to tie the game, but Rotary plated a run in the bottom half for an 8-7 walk-off win in Knox County Babe Ruth League play on Thursday at Memorial Park.

Bryson Armstrong had three hits, Coan Armstrong drove in a pair of runs on two hits, Aric Lust had two hits and scored twice, and Will Armstrong scored three runs to pace Rotary.

Zac Clow, Toby Burak, Isaac McGraw and Chase Shepard had two hits each for Key Realty. Burak drove in two runs and Clow scored twice.

Knox Marine 22, Kiwanis 8

Knox Marine went off for 20 runs in the second inning to roll to a 22-8 win on Thursday.

Corey Carson and Jordan Moore each had a triple and a single to lead Knox Marine.

Lane Warner drove in five runs, Moore drove in four and Carson added three RBIs.

Mitch Williams doubled and drove in a run for Kiwanis.

Rotary 10, Kiwanis 6

Rotary scored seven runs in the third inning to beat Kiwanis 10-6  on Tuesday.

Cohen Armstrong struck out four batters in a complete-game win and added a hit and an RBI at the plate to lead Rotary.

Ayden Leeman had two hits, including a triple, and Zach Johnson drove in two runs for Kiwanis.

Key Realty 8, Knox Marine 7

Key Realty rallied for five runs in the fourth inning to beat Knox Marine 8-7 on Tuesday.

Toby Burak had two hits and added a pair of RBIs, and Zac Clow struck out five in a complete game to pace Key Realty.

Devin Whitt and Lane Warner had a hit and an RBI each for Knox Marine, which scored a run in the fifth but fell short.

Seavolts 6, Rotary 5 (6)

Seavolts took the lead with a pair of runs in the first inning, but it was three runs in the fifth that gave them enough to hold off Rotary 6-5 in six innings on Monday.

Mason Holt tallied seven strikeouts over five innings of work; and Carson Myer added two hits, including a double, to pace Seavolts.

Curtis Landis and Wyatt Clendenen had two hits apiece, and Gauge Stull struck out five over five innings for Rotary, which rallied for four runs in the bottom of the six but fell short.

KB Tire 13, Key Realty 3 (5)

KB Tire scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead and rolled from there to a 13-3 win on Monday.

Vincent Kizer had two doubles at the plate and struck out two in four innings on the mound to lead KB Tire, which remained unbeaten.

Nick Mitchell had three hits — including a home run and a double — and Grayson Brokaw, Mason Mitchell and Alex Awiller each had two hits for KB Tire.

Jacob Morrison had two hits, including a double, and Chase Sheppard struck out four batters over four innings for Key Realty.
