Local skilled nursing facility earns top honors from CMS for resident care

The Mount Vernon Nazarene University Speech Language Pathology and Audiology program announced a new partnership with Miami University’s Scripps Gerontology Center that will integrate art therapy sessions for people living with dementia at a local skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.

Sunday, Nov. 14, was National Pickle Day, recognized at the Laurels of Mount Vernon with a presentation devoted to the pickle.They celebrated by giving residents and staff pickles and also featured a short presentation about how pickles came about.
