October was a busy month with fall bus rides to Loudenville along with decorating the Laurels of Mount Vernon – and pumpkins – for Halloween.

There was a pumpkin and costume contest, and residents got to be the judges. Additionally, there were donut holes and cider.

Residents made up over 100 trick-or-treat candies for staff. For the October monthly carryout meal, residents chose Wendy's.

On Friday morning, the preschool kids from the Kids Garden Center visited the courtyard to show off their costumes.

Music in October came with Mark Staicer and Mary Miller.
