MOUNT VERNON – The Laurels of Mt. Vernon, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, has been recognized as a five-star performer in quality measures by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the most recent set of data released through its five-star quality rating system.
Skilled nursing facilities like The Laurels are regularly reviewed and rated by CMS via its system, a tool designed to help consumers select and compare skilled nursing care centers. The quality measures rating offers information about how well nursing homes are caring for residents’ physical and clinical needs. Nursing homes receiving a five-star quality measures rating are considered to offer much above-average care.
“All of us at The Laurels of Mount Vernon are thrilled and honored to receive this outstanding recognition from CMS,” administrator Casandra Scott said. “It is tremendous validation of the work we do daily for our residents and their families. Thank you to our associates and leadership for promoting The Laurel Way of Caring in our continual pursuit of high standards of care and service.”
