The Centerburg Trojans powered past East Knox with a commanding 57–20 road win in girls varsity basketball conference play.
Centerburg’s disciplined, high-pressure defense kept the Bulldogs on their heels all night, forcing turnovers and limiting second-chance looks. The Trojans racked up 16 steals and three blocks, turning defense into offense and controlling the tempo. On the other end, Centerburg’s ball movement produced six assists and a steady stream of high-percentage shots. They shot 45% from the field, hit 33% from beyond the arc, and stayed composed at the line with a 75% free-throw rate.
The Trojans’ ability to execute on both ends defined the game, showcasing consistency and control from start to finish.
Centerburg now turns its focus to a conference matchup at Fredericktown on Jan. 31. The Trojans already own a win over the Freddies this season, a 53–36 victory on Jan. 2, and will look to repeat that success.
