Join the Grind, Build the Legacy | Mount Vernon High School Softball/FB

After a successful season characterized by teamwork and determination, the Mount Vernon High School softball program is seeking to expand its coaching staff for the 2025-26 season.

Head coach Ryan Pentz is in search of an individual with high energy, a competitive mindset, and a passion for developing athletes both on and off the field. According to Pentz, the program has become a regional powerhouse, recognized for its passionate fanbase, fierce competition, and team-first culture that inspires excellence in every game.

"We’re looking for someone who wants to make a real impact — not just in wins and losses, but in the lives of these players," Pentz said. "Our program is built on legacy, work ethic, and leadership. We need someone who matches that spirit."

The team's recent success has been highlighted by celebratory scenes from last season, reflecting a program on the rise. With strong community support and a roster of dedicated athletes, Pentz believes that adding the right coach could elevate the Jackets to even greater heights.

Those interested in joining the program are encouraged to contact Coach Pentz directly at (740) 504-5607 or via email at rpentz@mvcsd.us.
