Utica Finishes 4–6 After Strong Midseason Surge | Utica Redskins Athletic Boosters/FB

The Utica High School football team concluded the 2025 season with a record of four wins and six losses. The season was notably marked by a three-game winning streak in conference play, which elevated the team to third place in the Licking County League standings.

According to reports, after a challenging start that included shutout defeats against Centerburg and Ridgewood, the Redskins made a significant comeback in late September. They achieved a decisive 43–0 victory over Lakewood, initiating their most successful period of the season. This win was followed by consecutive victories against Newark Catholic (35–14) and Northridge (28–14), bringing their record to an even 4–4.

Throughout the year, Utica's offense demonstrated moments of balance, accumulating a total of 180 points. The defense also contributed with two shutouts. However, the team struggled to maintain its momentum, losing its final two games against Johnstown-Monroe (56–20) and Heath (46–7), which resulted in narrowly missing postseason qualification.

Despite finishing with a 4–6 record, Utica showed growth under pressure and resilience in close contests such as the 27–20 loss to Fredericktown earlier in the season. With key players expected to return next fall, the Redskins aim to build on this year's progress and compete for a playoff spot in 2026.
