The Centerburg Trojans continued their 2025 campaign with a 28–14 home playoff victory over Ridgewood, advancing in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division V, Region 23 postseason bracket. The game took place on November 7.
According to the match report, Centerburg (10–1) relied on its balanced attack and a second-quarter surge to seize control. After trailing 7–6 early, the Trojans scored 12 unanswered points before halftime to take a 20–14 lead. The defense held firm in the second half, shutting out Ridgewood (9–2) over the final two quarters while adding a decisive touchdown in the fourth.
The win marked Centerburg’s tenth of the season and extended its unbeaten run in conference and home play. The Trojans averaged 40.4 points per game entering the matchup and displayed their offensive versatility, with quarterback Blane Ball leading a poised and efficient unit.
Ridgewood entered the playoffs with a strong defensive record but couldn’t keep pace with Centerburg’s tempo despite scoring twice in the first half.
With this victory, Centerburg remains one of the top contenders in Region 23 and will look to carry its momentum deeper into the postseason as they aim for a regional championship berth.
