The Centerburg wrestling team placed 13th out of 18 teams with a score of 77 at the Ron Thomas Sr. Wrestling Invitational at Jonathan Alder on Jan. 20. Bishop Watterson won the event with a score of 265.
In the 106 class, Cory Climer was third with a score of 16 points. He won his third place match 4-2 over Robbie Hite of Bishop Watterson.
In the 113 class, Noah Matthews placed eighth and scored two points. During the event Matthews beat Colton Luedeke 9-6 in the consolation round.
In the 138 class, Chris Marshall was third and scored 22 points. He won the third place match 22-6 over Griffin Mininger of Big Walnut.
Thomas Hause placed fifth and scored 21 points in the 150 class. He won the fifth place match 24-9 over Kingston Sibert of Johnstown.
In the 157 class Hagen Bryant was eighth and scored four points. He won a consolation round by medical forfeit over Eli Forrest of Hilliard Darby.
