Knox County native Cathryn Clark was named CEO and president of the board for Columbus Mattress Wholesale, effective June 1. Clark succeeds the founder, Christopher Robbins, who will remain with the business part-time as logistics manager and board treasurer.

Clark joined Columbus Mattress Wholesale in 2017 when the local Columbus business was just launching. Since joining the company she has held multiple roles, with the most recent being vice president and director of communications. She came to Columbus Mattress Wholesale from North Broadway UMC and Short North Church, where she served as director of communications. Prior to that, Clark held a producer role with ABC 6/ FOX 28 Good Day Marketplace and a leadership role with a Columbus-based music festival. She earned her bachelor's degree from Otterbein University and served as an Ohio FFA officer.

Clark plans to expand the store by offering competitive online purchase options for Columbus-area customers while keeping the stores’ original goal in mind. She is passionate about educating people on the importance of sleep and the health benefits of a perfect mattress. And she hopes to expand the store to Licking and Knox counties areas in the near future, starting with a new warehouse purchased in Newark.
