For Mount Vernon senior-to-be guard and defensive tackle Nate Stradley, the morning of July 17 will always be memorable.
The 6-foot-2, 265-pound Stradley was so excited about his offer from North Park University of Chicago that he had to share the feeling on social media.
“Just waking up and already off to a good start to the day,” Stradley tweeted. “After a great conversation I am glad to say I have received an offer from North Park University of Chicago!”
Whether Stradley will head 336 miles to the west next fall remains to be seen.
Aside from NPU, he has received offers from Capital University, Lake Erie College and Baldwin Wallace University, among others.
He is set to return to a Yellowjackets team that looks to build upon a 5-4 finish in his junior season, which was highlighted by his placement on the All-OCC First team, the Mansfield News Journal reported.
