GAMBIER – Kenyon College head coach Dan Priest recently hired Eamonn Kearney as the Lords assistant basketball coach. Kearney moved into the full-time position after three years of serving in a part-time role with the Kenyon staff, the school announced Thursday.

“I am incredibly excited to welcome Eamonn to our staff on a full-time basis,” Priest said. “He has a great basketball mind, is a tireless worker and relates incredibly well to the student-athletes. He will do a phenomenal job of providing our student-athletes with a great experience.”

Prior to his time at Kenyon, Kearney played for two seasons under coach Darryl Keckler at Drew University, where he also helped for two seasons as a student assistant, aiding the program through practice planning, game breakdown, video analysis and recruiting.

Additionally, Kearney’s coaching resume covers work at numerous basketball camps, including those at Lehigh University, American University and College of the Holy Cross.

He graduated in May of 2018 from Drew with a bachelor of arts degree in English.
