The Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) men's and women's bowling teams recently participated in the Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament 4 at Columbus Square Bowling Palace. The men's team secured 11th place out of 17 teams with a total of 6,071 pins, while the women's team finished 8th among 12 teams with 5,368 pins. The tournament featured a 32-baker format.
Josiah Casler achieved a tenth frame punchout in game 20 for the men's team, with Nick McQuire also performing punchouts in games two, seven, 21, and 26. For the women's team, Riley Rine completed a punchout in game 10. Additionally, Benjamin Brubaker and Brenna McTighe excelled by converting all single pin attempts. Five members of the men's team—Kobe Green, Christian Phillips, Brubaker, Jacob Burre, and Casler—achieved clean games during the tournament.
MVNU will next compete in the Hoosier Classic on February 14-15 at Western Bowl in Indianapolis. MVNU is a private Christian university located on a [327-acre campus] in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
