The Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) men's and women's bowling teams participated in the Crossroads League Bowling Tournament 4 held in Jackson, Michigan, on January 30. The men's team secured fifth place among eight teams with a score of 4982, while the women's team finished sixth out of seven with a total of 4346.
Josiah Casler was a standout performer for the MVNU men's team, achieving 17th place out of 105 competitors with an individual score of 590. Casler notably rolled 13 consecutive strikes to achieve a Baker 300. Kobe Green followed closely, placing 19th with a score of 589, and Christian Phillips took the 22nd spot with a total of 578 pins.
On the women's side, Abi Larkin led by placing 27th out of 81 participants with an individual total of 516 pins. Brenna McTighe and Riley Rine placed 31st and 42nd, scoring 509 and 480 pins respectively.
The MVNU bowling team is set to compete next in the rescheduled Crossroads League Bowling Tournament 3 on February 4 at Royal Pin Western in Indianapolis, Indiana.
