The Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) men's basketball team concluded its Florida trip with a narrow victory over Warner University. The game, held on December 19 in Tampa, saw MVNU overcome an early deficit to win 66-64. Warner led 19-12 with just under six minutes left in the first half, but MVNU fought back to lead 31-29 at halftime.

The second half remained competitive, with Warner briefly taking a 62-59 lead late in the game. However, layups by Devin Dreier and Isaiah Brown helped MVNU regain the advantage. After Warner tied the game with five seconds remaining, Dreier quickly passed to Brown, who scored the decisive basket as time expired.

Coach Ronai commented on the game's physical nature and praised his team's performance: "Uber physical game tonight in Florida. Our guys made some big plays down the stretch and Isaiah was able to find some space to attack on the last possession."

Mount Vernon Nazarene University is part of both the Crossroads League and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, according to their official about page. The university emphasizes community service and global outreach through its programs.

Looking ahead, MVNU will resume Crossroads League play against Grace College on January 3. The university operates from a main campus in Mount Vernon, Ohio, offering education for nearly 2,200 students from various states and countries.
