The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team has seen three of its players recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) for their performances this season. The team competes in the Northcentral Region of the AVCA, where 14 student-athletes are chosen for the All-Region Team, and eight others receive honorable mentions.
Evelyn Brown was named Regional Freshman of the Year and earned First Team honors after a strong debut season. She also received the Crossroads League Freshman of the Year award. Brown achieved 350 kills with a .417 hitting percentage and contributed 81 total blocks.
Senior Faith Maloney joined Brown on the First Team following her best season yet, recording a career-high 366 kills with a .225 hit percentage. Her career totals include 1,108 kills, along with 181 digs and 64 blocks.
Setter Reagan Nuss completed MVNU's trio of honorees by earning First Team recognition as well. Nuss accumulated 1,234 assists this season, adding 88 kills with a .321 hitting percentage. Defensively, she collected 351 digs at an average of 2.79 per set. Over her career, Nuss amassed an impressive total of 3,994 assists.
