The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the pool play assignments for the 2025 NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Championship, set to take place in Sioux City, Iowa. The Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) women’s volleyball team will compete in Pool F after their recent victory over the University of Rio Grande.
The Lady Cougars, seeded 11th, will face sixth-seeded Providence from Montana and 19th-seeded College of Idaho. Providence, representing the Frontier Conference, was both the regular season and tournament champion. They finished second in the NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll and hold a record of 32-2 following their win against Northwest University in the opening round.
The College of Idaho, an At-Large selection from the Cascade Conference, enters with a 19-10 record. They recently secured their spot at the national tournament by sweeping Bethel College. The Yotes were ranked 16th nationally at the end of the regular season.
MVNU is scheduled to begin pool play on December 4 at 4:30 p.m. CT against the Yotes at Tyson Events Center. Their next match is against Providence on December 5 at 3:30 p.m. CT. Tie breaks, if necessary, will occur after all pool matches conclude on December 5.
