Betty L. (White) Gantt passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on March 25, 1938, in Hartford, Ohio, Betty was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched many lives with her kindness and love.
She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond V. White and Carrie McDonald White; her beloved husband, Wayne C. Gantt; and her brother, Robert White.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Penny (Daniel) Mudrzynski and Shirley (Gregory) Gubb; five grandchildren, John (Carrie) Mudrzynski, Brad (Melissa) Mudrzynski, Bryan (Carol) Gubb, Tyler Gubb, and Sarah (Sam) Brudz; and nine great-grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph, Nathan, and Derek Mudrzynski; Ethan, Carter, and Addyson Gubb; and Palmer and Emmy Brudz. She is also survived by her brothers, John White and Richard White, along with several nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Betty’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home for their dedicated care and support.
In accordance with her wishes, private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family, with interment in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter, honoring Betty’s lifelong love and compassion for animals.
