Fredericktown edges Loudonville in overtime thriller, 26–20 | Mary Jones

Fredericktown's Blake Sipes scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime as the Freddies defeated the Loudonville Redbirds 26–20 on Friday night in a Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference showdown.

The matchup took place at Fredericktown High School on October 3, where both teams battled through four quarters before heading into extra time tied at 20. According to reports, Sipes carried Fredericktown with three total touchdowns — two rushing and one passing — while connecting with Gavin Toombs and Jason Butler for key scoring plays. Loudonville rallied from a 14–0 deficit, tying the game late on a pair of second-quarter and fourth-quarter touchdowns, including a clutch two-point conversion that forced overtime. However, Fredericktown’s defense sealed the win with an interception in the extra frame after Sipes’ one-yard score put the Freddies ahead.

Looking ahead, Fredericktown (6–1, 3–1 KMAC) will host Mt. Gilead on Friday at 7 p.m., while Loudonville (3–4) returns home to face Danville at the same time.

In their previous meeting, Fredericktown edged Loudonville 22–20, marking another close contest between the conference rivals.
