All eighth and tenth grade students in Knox County participated in the Ohio Means Jobs Knox County Career Quest, held at the Energy Field House. The event featured more than 45 exhibitors, including local businesses and education or training providers. Students had opportunities to explore different career paths through hands-on activities and job-related challenges.
Sgt. J. Stryker, OSHP Columbus District Recruiter, commented on the event: “This is the best high-school age career exploration event that I have been involved in. The students, the venue, and the event coordination makes this one I look forward to each year.”
The Career Quest aimed to connect students with professionals and give them a chance to learn about various professions and skills required for future employment. Organizers emphasized that bringing together youth from across Knox County helps guide them toward potential careers.
The initiative was designed as a collaborative effort within Knox County to support students' career development.
