Roger D. McFadden, 65, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

Born in Mount Vernon on March 6, 1960, Roger was the son of Marcina E. (McDonald) and the late Robert A. McFadden. From a young age, he loved working alongside his family in the timber cutting business and cherished time in the woods, whether following his father to work or hunting deer and turkey. Roger also enjoyed traveling to Florida and Tennessee, cheering on Ohio State and Danville football, and spending mornings with the 6 a.m. “Coffee Crew” at Poppy’s.

Roger is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 36 years, Kim (Parker) McFadden; his mother, Marcina; brother, Jim (Donna) McFadden; sisters, Shirley (Ron) Horne and Rose (Paul) Crawford; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill (Paula) Riley, Rickie Parker, and Cindy Moreno; special friends Rick and Julie; his dog, Buster; and several aunts, uncles, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don and Jerri Riley, and sister-in-law, Lori Powell.

An open house to celebrate Roger’s life will be held Sunday, October 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 201 W. Rambo St., Danville, OH 43014.
