Families are invited to attend an Open House at East Elementary, Pleasant Street Elementary, and Wiggin Street Elementary on Thursday, Aug. 14.
All open house events will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m., allowing parents and students to tour the schools, meet teachers and staff, and prepare for the upcoming school year.
East Elementary’s Open House will be held at 714 E. Vine Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Pleasant Street Elementary will welcome families at 305 E. Pleasant Street, Mount Vernon. Wiggin Street Elementary’s Open House will take place at 207 Wiggin Street.
School officials encourage all parents and guardians to take part in this informative evening to help ensure a smooth start to the 2025–2026 school year. These events help students get to know their classrooms and allow families to meet with teachers and address any questions they may have
East Elementary, Pleasant Street Elementary, and Wiggin Street Elementary are part of the Mount Vernon City Schools District (MVCSD). All parents and guardians are also reminded to log in to their OneView Parent Portal to complete important online forms for the 2025–2026 school year.
