East Knox High School is sponsoring a blood drive on Wednesday, July 2, at the Grand Hotel, located at 12 Public Square, Mount Vernon, Ohio. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., offering the community a vital opportunity to make a difference.

Those interested in donating can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visiting RedCrossBlood.org and entering the sponsor code EastKnoxHS. Donors are encouraged to streamline their experience by completing the pre-donation reading and health history questions in advance at RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass, potentially saving up to 15 minutes at the donation site.

According to the American Red Cross, there is an emergency need for Type O blood, making every donation especially impactful. Those who cannot attend the July 2 event may inquire at the Newark OH Blood and Platelet Donation Center, located at 225 N 21st Street, Newark, OH 43055.

As a token of appreciation, all presenting donors who give blood, platelets, or plasma between July 1–14, will receive an exclusive pair of American Red Cross x goodr sunglasses, while supplies last.

This isn't the first time the East Knox community has rolled up its sleeves for a good cause—last August, East Knox Local Schools hosted a successful drive at East Knox Jr./Sr. High School.
