Four standout players from Mount Vernon High School's baseball team have committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Kayden Packard, Ezra Kurek, Zac Clow, and Jagger Dohn will take their talents to Walsh University, Eastern Michigan University, Mount St. Joseph College, and Tiffin University, respectively.
According to available statistics, Kayden Packard, a pitcher and third baseman, has been a key contributor for the Yellow Jackets. As a junior, Packard posted a .354 batting average with a .460 on-base percentage (OBP) and recorded 40 hits overall. He will continue his baseball journey at Walsh University.
Ezra Kurek, a catcher, has also been impressive in his junior season. Kurek boasts a .364 batting average and has played in 25 games, collecting 28 hits. He has committed to Eastern Michigan University for his college career.
Zac Clow, who plays shortstop, is another key player for Mount Vernon. In his junior season, Clow hit .327 with a .420 OBP and racked up 51 hits overall. Clow will play for Mount St. Joseph College.
Jagger Dohn, a pitcher and first baseman, has shown strong potential for the Yellow Jackets. Dohn recorded a .286 batting average and a .289 OBP with 12 hits as a junior. He will continue his athletic career at Tiffin University.
