The Fredericktown Freddies achieved a narrow victory over the Northmor Golden Knights on December 20, securing a 44-39 win to improve their season record to 7-1.

According to the game report, Fredericktown's defense and rebounding were pivotal in their success, as they dominated the boards with a 45-20 advantage over Northmor. The Freddies also held a shooting edge, making 33% of their shots from the field compared to Northmor’s 27%.

Leading the charge for Fredericktown was Cally Carpenter, who scored 17 points, collected seven rebounds, and recorded four steals and three assists. Carpenter demonstrated efficiency on offense by shooting 50% from the field, converting seven out of fourteen attempts.

Mya Bryant also made significant contributions with nine points and eleven rebounds. Ella Bouton added five points, eight rebounds, four steals, and three blocks, highlighting her versatile performance.

Northmor faced challenges with shooting throughout the game but received solid performances from several players. Despite this, they could not overcome Fredericktown’s aggressive defense and rebounding superiority.

With this defeat, Northmor's record falls to 3-5 for the season. The Golden Knights aim to recover in their upcoming game against Colonel Crawford, who currently boasts an undefeated record of 8-0.

Fredericktown will now prepare for their next encounter against Licking Valley, which holds a season record of 1-9.
