Fredericktown sophomore Cooper Rine has earned Mount Vernon News Player of the Week honors after an impressive showing on the track, solidifying himself as one of the top hurdlers in the area.
Rine took home first place in the 110-meter high hurdles at both the Loudonville Invitational and Upper Sandusky Invitational, clocking a personal-record time of 15.92 seconds. His consistent top-tier performances helped lead the Freddies’ strong presence in both meets.
In addition to his wins in the 110 hurdles, Rine showed grit and versatility in the 300-meter hurdles, finishing fourth at Loudonville and improving to third at Upper Sandusky.
With the postseason approaching, Rine’s dominance over the hurdles is making waves, and his growth as a sophomore is a promising sign for Fredericktown’s future on the track.
