East Knox Local Schools is set to distribute food gathered through its Christmas Food Drive at the high school, six days prior to Christmas, to those who have registered.

The food distribution event is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the high school located at 23227 Coshocton Road in Howard, as stated in an East Knox Local School District press release. Upon arrival for the event, motorists are advised to enter the pick-up line on the east side of the high school and face toward Route 36.

According to another East Knox Local School District press release, meat will be included in the items distributed during the Christmas Food Drive.

However, community members who require assistance and wish to receive food must register by Dec. 15 at www.hopeinohio.org, as per another East Knox Local School District press release. Those unable to register or needing help should reach out to Center of Hope at 740-200-0689.

Center of Hope began its operations in 2019 with a mission to address increasing needs in Ohio's rural communities. It opened its first chapter in Knox County that year. A year later, it started distributing food through a distribution hub and service center in Bladensburg, according to information from the Center of Hope website.
