The Division III All-Ohio football team was announced on Dec. 6 and a number of Mount Vernon News coverage area athletes were selected, with New Philadelphia leading the way with nine honorees.

New Philadelphia senior Zach Rothrock headlines the list of Division III All-Ohio honorees, as the linebacker is coming off a terrific season where he led the Quakers on defense with 102 tackles, three interceptions, one sack, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble. He was also the OCC Defensive Player of the Year. Rothrock was one of nine Quakers chosen in 2023.
