Ashland (2-1, 0-0) had 410 total yards in Friday night’s matchup against Buckeye Valley (1-2, 0-0), but it wasn’t enough to get a victory with the Barons winning 27-23. The Arrows went up 10-7 in the first quarter, but Buckeye Valley made it 20-17 at halftime. The barons outscored Ashland 7-6 in the third quarter and held on for the win. Ashland had 233 passing yards and 177 yards rushing on the day. Buckeye Valley put up 353 total yards, with 208 passing and 145 yards rushing.
