Licking County Wrestling Competition Night is a Wednesday night can’t-miss event for grappling fans and competitors.

The competition started June 7 and continues every Wednesday through July 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the venues below. Male and female wrestlers are invited to compete or attend and they can hail from anywhere. A free wrestling practice is included, which includes warm-up drilling and live wrestling.

The June 7 matches took place at Johnstown High School, moving on to Lakewood High School on June 14 and Licking Valley High School on June 21. Last week's competition was held June 28, at Licking Heights High School.

After the holiday, the competition will continue July 5 at Watkins Memorial High School, 1954 Warrior Way, Pataskala, entering door 13 and proceeding to the auxiliary gym. On July 12, Northridge High School is the venue at 6066 Johnstown Utica Rd. in Johnstown. Enter through the main doors. Wrestling will be in the gym. Utica High School takes over on July 19, and the competition will finish at Heath High School, July 26 at 300 Licking View Dr. in Heath. Enter through the main entrance in the gym.
