MOUNT VERNON – William F. “Bill” Ostermeyer, 79, of Mount Vernon, formerly from Newark, passed away on March 1, 2023, at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on July 31, 1943, to Kenneth and Minna (Errolat) Ostermeyer in Columbus.
Bill enjoyed playing bingo, scratch-offs and shopping. He and Betty loved their little dogs and going to China Buffet. Bill had a quirky sense of humor that would always keep you guessing. He always had a pocket full of lifesavers to share. He was highly organized with what he wanted to be organized. Bill enjoyed family meals with friends and baking Amish friendship bread, which he shared with all.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Betty and his parents.
There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, March 16, at 11 a.m. at Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
