Middle School Tennis Club registration begins
The Kokosing Valley Community Tennis Association is sponsoring the 2023 Middle School Tennis Club. Participation is open to students in the Mount Vernon City School District, St. Vincent Middle School students and any home-schooled student who lives in the Mount Vernon City Schools attendance area.
The club will compete against other middle school teams in Central Ohio. Players of various experience levels are welcome. Registration ends March 12 and practice begins March 13.

Knox Babe Ruth League registration continues
The 2023 Knox Babe Ruth League will begin play in March and registration for athletes continues Saturday at the announcers’ booth at the Babe Ruth Field at Memorial Park on Mount Vernon Avenue.
The league is for 13-16-year-olds and play is scheduled to start after high school players have finished with their school programs.
Opening day will be on a Saturday to be determined, and the season will operate on weekdays that are to be determined and will culminate in a city tournament to crown a tournament champion in addition to the regular season champ.
In-person Knox Babe Ruth League registration will take place on the following dates:
Saturday, Feb. 25, Noon-8 p.m.
Thursday, March 2, 6-8 p.m.
Saturday, March 11, Noon-2 p.m.
Wednesday, March 15, 6-8 p.m.
New player tryouts and evaluations will take place on a date and time to be determined.
