6 KMAC track records set in 2022

Six records were set by student-athletes in KMAC track and field events in 2022. The boys set four new marks, and the girls eclipsed two existing records.

A record was set this year in the 4x800m-relay by the East Knox team of Sam Whitney, Logan Whitney, Dillon Moreland and Nathan Streby, with a time of 8:14.96.

Streby also put his name in the KMAC books with a record in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:59.05.

Mt. Gilead’s Will Baker set a new standard in the 3200-meter run with a time of 9:48.98.

In field events, Centerburg’s Mason Lanthorn set a record in the discus with a throw of 153’11".

On the girls’ side, two records were set, one on the track and one in a field event.

The 4x100-relay team from East Knox set a record of 51.63. The Lady Bulldogs record-breakers were Grace Shipman, Asia Jones, Faith White and Madilyn Elson.

In the field, Fredericktown’s Sydney Wilson set a new mark in the pole vault with a vault of 10’9”.
