The Knox Morrow Athletic Conference (KMAC), consisting of the Cardington, Centerburg, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, Mt. Gilead, Northmor high schools and middle schools, has announced its boys track and field All League award winners and team champions. In addition, the KMAC recognizes one senior from every school for every sport as an All-Academic winner. The All-Academic winner must have a GPA of at least 3.5.
Major honorees included:
Boys Track
Nathan Streby, East Knox – Runner of the Year
Bryer Boeshart, Danville – Field Athlete of the Year
Lauren Huelsman, Mt. Gilead – Coach of the Year
KMAC League champion: Mt. Gilead
Commenting on Streby's selection as Runner of the Year, his East Knox track coach, Ran Jones, said, "Nathan had a great postseason and several gutsy races at the state meet. He put himself in position in the open 800 to compete with the state record holder and pulled off a PR. He also anchored the relays, running shoeless in the 4x4 final, and picked up several positions, helping both the 4x4 and 4x8 earn All-Ohio honors ans well as his KMAC Runner of the Year honor. I’m very proud of him. He’s been a part of a lot of firsts in EK sports history and he and the boys have set a great example for our underclassman and what it takes to be successful. Their success is a direct result of their attitude and diligence year after year.":
