NEWARK – Timothy Lee Wires, 62, of Newark passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Embassy of Newark. He was born on Dec. 30, 1959, in Newark to the late Charles and Virginia (Price) Wires. 

Tim attended Utica High School and soon after joined a crew working in the oil fields. He also worked at the Croton Egg Farm. One of his greatest joys in life was fishing. Whether it was on the river, a lake, or a private pond, that was his peaceful time. His greatest joy was being around his family and friends. 

He is survived by his daughter, Cassie Moore; grandchild, Christopher Moore; siblings, Barb (Rick) Lanthorn, Mike Wires, Nancy (Tony) Diaz, Bobby (Jamie) Stafford, Deborah (Doug Lewis) Mulligan, Steve (Cindy) Wires and Brian (Amy) Stafford; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Elaine Russell. 

Along with his parents, Tim is preceded in death by his stepdad, Robert Stafford; sister, Tammy Wires; brother, Chuck Stafford; and a nephew. 

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
